i know that some folks love telling creative people that “you should be doing it for fun because you love it not for the compliments” but creative people thrive on feedback whether it’s critical or just complimentary
so when i write fanfiction and don’t get any actual feedback i feel like i spent all that time and energy doing it for nothing because i’m not getting feedback from the people i wrote it for
doing something you’re proud of and then presenting it to the sound of utter silence is like the worst feeling on earth
“nazis/white supremacists are just opportunistic larper cowards who will crawl back under their rocks if their illusion bursts” actually they’re a heavily armed group who have heavy influence and representation in the right wing political party, a large number of members in the military, and comprise 95%+ of cops, and the majority of whon want to deport, sterilize, enslave, and/or murder every racialized person in the country and establish a white christian ethnostate as soon as possible
This fact, while legitimately worrying, is not to lead you to despair. This fact, is to get those who would write off the fascist threat to understand the stakes.

WHAT THEY DID:
🩺 On October 1, 2021, Planned Parenthood partnered with Tumblr to rally supporters for abortion justice and defend access to abortions at 539 rallies in every state.
🩺 On September 3, 2021, Tumblr and Planned Parenthood partnered up in response to a Texas law that came into effect September 1, S.B. 8., effectively banning abortion in the state and asking private citizens to act as bounty hunters who “enforce” the law.
